was formed to provide our experience and professional resources to the regulated
community and the public with an interest in health, safety and our environment in the US
and abroad. Our principal owner and President Mr. August L. De Vico, REM, CHMM, CSS is a seasoned,
experienced, hardworking, and honest professional with the knowledge and expertise to
assist organizations and individuals with their environmental, health, safety, and
regulatory compliance goals. His operating philosophy includes proper planning and
personnel training as key factors in reducing potential liabilities and meeting
environmental, safety, health, and regulatory compliance goals.
We
know that industry is more then just buildings and equipment and is really people
providing products and services to people. As such, there should not be a conflict
between industry, those in the regulated community, and those who want to preserve our
environmental quality and ensure the safety of workers and the public. Instead,
there should be a synergy and an understanding between all parties.
About Mr. De Vico
Mr. De Vico is a Registered Environmental Manager, a Certified
Hazardous Materials Manager, and a Certified Safety Specialist with over 30-years of
experience in environmental, health and safety, hazardous materials, and industry
management. His extensive and diverse
experience includes: health and safety, environmental; transportation, and fire protection
consulting; chemical plant management; manufacturing plant management, radiation safety,
electronics research and development; environmental engineering; laboratory and process
plant design, plant decommissioning; compliance program development; environmental and
safety auditing; and training. He has
experience as a municipal and industrial HazMat team member, industrial emergency
coordinator, municipal firefighter, and fire/arson investigator. This experience combined with his detailed
knowledge of environmental, safety, and transportation regulations enables him to ensure
regulatory compliance for any type of client.
Mr. De Vico provides valuable insight into the needs
and problems of our clients. He has experience
as a safety and environmental consultant and experience as corporate environmental
engineer for a diversified Fortune 500 company with facilities and subsidiaries worldwide. Additionally, he is recognized for his expertise in
comprehensive emergency planning. He has
participated in emergency planning for large cities and has conducted comprehensive
planning for the American Museum of
Natural History occupying multiple city blocks in New York City with 23 buildings and William Paterson University in
Wayne, New Jersey with over 30 buildings. He
is a leader in the field of fire prevention and served on the National Fire Prevention
Associations hazardous chemicals standards committee.
His operating philosophy includes proper planning and personnel training as key
factors in reducing potential liabilities and meeting regulatory compliance goals.

About
Dr. McCracken
Dr. McCracken holds a Ph.D. in engineering, is a
licensed Professional Engineer, a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, a Certified
Safety Professional, and holds a United States Coast Guard Captain's License. Dr.
McCracken has over thirty years of experience in the environmental remediation and
emergency response field including: program management of remediation activities; review,
modification and approval of remedial designs; implementation of remedial designs;
development and implementation of operations and maintenance plans for remedial
facilities; management of emergency response remedial activities; preparation of
remediation work plans and quality assurance/control plans.
Dr. McCracken is an
experienced expert witness and has presented testimony in Federal, Superior, and lower
courts.
